We’re really excited to announce our newest project: TeeDesignTalk

The idea behind this new site is simple: to create an independent community where t-shirts enthusiasts can go to talk, share, and collaborate.

I know there’s a few existing forums/communities out there, but we also know that the majority of them are an afterthought, poorly designed, or targeted towards the screen printing industry, rather than to the new breed of t-shirt designers and sellers.

We think that a dedicated site could be an awesome resource for t-shirt people, but we need your help to make it successful.

If you’re interested, we’d love it if you would check it out, sign up, and try it out. Let us know what sucks, what rocks, and what we can do better. And in the next few months, we could really use your posts to help the forums gain momentum and any posts you can include on your blogs/sites.

It’s pretty obvious these days that indie design is what’s hip. The wild success of sites like Etsy and Supermarket are just the tip of the iceberg. For t-shirt designers, it means getting your artwork printed and out there is even easier.

IAMTHETREAD (their tag line reads: BE BOLD. BE DIFFERENT. BE THE TREND) is a new site who’s goal is to catalog all things independent (music, accessories, clothing lines and more).

For hipsters and trendsetters, it’s a great place to discover new stuff. The site offers the ability to rate and comment on the companies in the directory. We’d love to see some more social networking features like the lists and recommendations offered by thisnext, but so far, so cool.

For tee designers (or any other indie designer of stuffs), they’re offering a “Pro Listing” in their directory FREE, until December 1st. The pro listing gives you the ability to get feedback from users, have a company logo displayed with your listing and priority listing (what exactly does that mean?) among other premium features.

You also get the opportunity for main page placement on a first come, first serve basis each week.

We wish that listings also included the option to upload a few products to your company profile, which would give users a chance to see a particular stores offerings before clicking through.

We have a feeling that this site will only improve with time, and we’ll be keeping an eye on them!

We’re really digging this (relatively) new site. The tongue and cheek tag line reads: “One awesome tee. One awesome post. One-ever I feel like it” which really kind of sums it up.

The site offers in-depth reviews of selected tees from contest sites like threadless, design by humans, and woot. The guy who’s writing them clearly has a passion for t-shirt design, and a breadth of knowledge on the topic.

Which makes for an entirely enjoyable read. Check it out.
