Full Metal T-Shirt

I still can’t quite decide whether or not I like the site design of Full Metal T-Shirt

but what I have no doubt about is the quality of their catalog designs.

Because Full Metal prints with DTG (direct to garment), designers get the benefit of being able to use a full range of colors with some spectacular results. Whether DTG is totally ready for prime time yet is a whole ‘nother debate, but these tees definitely show off the potential of the printing method.

Our favorite is the lion print, center. Tees are priced at $25 and you can also get the designs on postcards and posters, if you’d prefer them for your wall, or mail.

New designs are chosen via the voting community, and designers who win (chosen weekly) the ongoing competition receive $200, a free copy of their shirt, and a $5 residual per shirt and art print sold, for an entire year.

Also, many people over at Emptees have really nice things to say about the folks behind the company.

I have a shirt from FMT (Splash) and can vouch for the quality- it was far beyond what I expected of DTG, and in my opinion it is a serious rival to traditional screenprinting.
