Co-Tee TV Goes Big-Time

Have you watched any of Coty’s video blogs? You know, the ones where he reviews indie clothing lines and talks about other t-shirt related goodness?

If not, you’ve been missing out. Perhaps the only t-shirt blogger that’s taken his show to video, these are fun and entertaining to watch and they’ve been doing so well that Coty’s taking them big time… adding them to most of the major soc video sites and to iTunes as a subscribe-able video podcast.

    Yeah good to see Coty’s great video posts getting more promotion, will be interesting to see how many more of us tee-bloggers move to video posts in the future. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, but hey, writing words is just a bit easier. Is it something you are considering for PCTs Liz?

    I think if you can do it successfully is a great way to generate more traffic and interest. Video can be very compelling.

    But I don’t think I’ll be jumping into anytime soon for PCT. The sheer amount of time to record/edit/put together each piece would kill me.

    Though I think it would be interesting to see a collaborative site – TeeTV perhaps? – with video pieces from a bunch of different t-bloggers.

    Yeah that’s my feeling as well. I’ll try it in a few months when I’ll be a full-time blogger if I can get a video post down to 1.5hrs of work or so, it might be worth starting a weekly vid series. Any longer and its just too time consuming.

    Just out of interest Liz, what plugin/service are you using for the coupon and deals sidebar? It’s a nice little solution…

    http://tinyurl.com/6o8uqf is the coupons/deals. Think it’s based on a tutorial that nettuts.com had a while ago. Not 100% in love with it, but since I’m still just testing the feature I haven’t spent the time to do any serious hacks/fixes to it.

    Main thing is that currently it doesn’t limit input into the body area … but it does limit output. So people can put in however much they want but it gets cut off.

    Fine for news, not so good for coupons.

    And the styling on the form is kind of meh… but that’s my fault for not messing with the CSS.

    Let me know how it goes. Love the site btw, haven’t had a chance to say so before.
