According to orange Alexander flowers, music, clocks, and puppies all suck. But besides their collection of tees for haterz, they “produces one-of-a kind shirts that are sometimes political, often irreverent, occasionally weird, but always fun.” Indeed.

Just one of the colorful geometric animal tees on sale at Alive Shirts. Started in 2003, Alive has been steadily cranking out tees and working to help protect animals: each design represents a threatened species and a portion of each sale goes to the WWF.
Artist Christian Lindemann is behind the line and works out of germany.

316 Graphics has released two new texture packs targeted directly towards t-shirt designers.
The textures, high resolution tiffs, are converted to black and white so whether you’re using Illustrator or Photoshop (or that funny editor out of Canada – yes Corel, I mean you), all you have to do is set the fill.
Wear and Tear Volume 1
Paint Volume 1
Each pack is just $15 bucks and includes 15 textures. And as if you needed any more incentive to buy: There’s also a special promotion going on from now until 1/30/09. …

As someone who’s worked in the screen printing industry as an artist and who still does a boatload of design, I can’t say enough about the vector packs from GoMedia. They’re like tempting little morsels of vectory graphical goodness just waiting to be used in your next design.
But now until Jan 3, they’re even better (like chocolate covered morsels, or something) because GoMedia is offering $25 off of any orders over $50. That’s like 5(ish)! vector packs for just 25 bucks.

It’s pretty common knowledge these days that if you have an online store selling t-shirts, it’s a good idea to keep a blog too. We even talked about in it as a promotional technique in our article, “7 Ways to Make Your Store Stand Out and Sell More“.
A blog can help “hook” users, generate repeat visitors and potentially repeat sales.
But what if you aren’t printing and selling your own designs? What if you just participate in contests like Threadless and Cameesa, or sell your art to other clothing lines?

Rise and Resist Apparel (or RANDR for short) is an up and coming clothing line that offers a large collection of designs by a ton of different designers with a wide variety of aesthetics. Which makes it really impossible to select just one of their designs to feature, like we normally do.
Thanks guys, sheesh.
It also means that you’re pretty much guaranteed to find something in a style you’d like from these guys. Which is probably a part of their marketing plan to take over the world.

I’m always impressed by the creativity of t-shirts designed for and by younger Christians. It’s like faith is actually hip, or something.
The designs from Favuer, an indie christian line, are great examples of this.
Large, bold, over-sized prints with a decidedly grungy urban feel. Overall, their line still feels a little uneven (there are some great designs, and some not-so-great designs) but it looks like we can expect good things from these guys.

Since the launch of MySoti, it’s become a destination for increasingly well designed t-shirts and posters. It’s hard to make the comparison to Spreadshirt or Cafepress, but it just feels like the focus is more on quality designs.
This collection from Australian designer James Lillis is no exception. Quirky funny designs that lean towards geekdom. We’re digging this tee.
Us? An unhealthy obsession with space invaders? naaaah.
